Histobiolab announced the release of its tissue microarray with a high-throughput platform for the application in disease diagnosis, prognosis.

New York, USA – July 27, 2021 – Histobiolab, the innovative histology branch of Creative Bioarray, focuses on developing professional and unique technologies for global scientists with high-quality products and services in order to satisfy different research needs and accelerate life science research procedures. Recently, Histobiolab announced the release of its tissue microarray with a high-throughput platform for the application in disease diagnosis, prognosis.

Tissue microarray can be used in many applications, such as immunohistochemical paraffin (IHC-P), in situ hybridization (ISH or FISH when using fluorescently labeled probes), mRNA or miRNA ISH, TUNEL analysis, histochemical staining, and nucleic acid extraction. Histobiolab provides TMA for normal tissues of human, rat, mouse and primate/monkey species, and human TMA can also be used for various cancers, including malignant or metastatic and cancer/normal adjacent tissue forms.

Besides, tissue microarray (TMA) technology is widely used in cancer research. The emergence of TMA, combined with gene chips, has played a very complementary role in finding disease genes. Using the genes screened by the gene microarray as probes, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) was performed between the probes and many tumor tissues in the tissue chip to find factors related to tumor occurrence.

Histobiolab’s internal pathologists carefully select each tissue section or core. Combine 5 to 10 different cores to create a panel, and up to 100 cores form an array. Based on the availability of more than 600,000 tissue samples in our biobank, Histobiolab has constructed more than 6000 types of high-quality tissue microarrays (TMA) to meet customers’ needs.

The tissue chip provided by Histobiolab contains paraffin-embedded tissue arrays, cell arrays and frozen tissue arrays which are featured with high-quality organizational core manufacturing, and is suitable for immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH) and TUNEL detection. They can support radioactive and non-radioactive detection, and offer corresponding RNA, DNA, cDNA or protein results, as well as covering broad organization types.

“As a new biological research technology, TMA is showing its potential with its advantages. Its application realizes the accurate, rapid and large amount of information detection of biological components such as cells, proteins, nucleic acids, etc., which greatly improves the efficiency of experiments.” said Hannah Cole, the marketing director of Creative Bioarray, she also claimed, “combined with NGS, TMA has a good complementary effect in finding tumor gene mutations and molecular markers. It provides mass detection of molecular markers for tumor diagnosis and prognosis, and plays an irreplaceable role in cancer research. We believe that with the rapid development of life science technology, TMA will play an increasingly important role in cancer research in the post-genomic era.”
