The clinic is clearing up common misconceptions about performing elective surgery.

Plano, TX – Renaissance Plastic Surgery clinic is pleased to announce it is providing key insider information about precautions and performing elective surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Renaissance Plastic Surgery is a cosmetic and reconstructive surgery center which provides full-service care for clients in the Plano, Texas area.  Under the direction of Jeff Angobaldo, MD (aka Dr. Plano) and his impressive team, Renaissance Plastic Surgery has earned a solid reputation for excellence throughout the region.

In recent news, Renaissance Plastic Surgery clinic is announcing it is providing readers with critical, insider information about participating in elective surgery during this unprecedented time.  For example, the clinic is answering key questions such as “is it safe to have elective surgery while COVID-19 is still in bloom?”

According to Texas Plastic Surgeon, and founder of Renaissance Plastic Surgery (RPS), Dr. Jeff Angobaldo says, “yes, as long as all the necessary precautions are in place.  Our clinic is currently taking, and will continue to take, all the necessary precautions when it comes to COVID-19.  Nothing is more important than the safety of our staff and patients.”

In order to safely perform elective surgeries during this time, RPS has set in place new policies and procedures to ensure its operating room is as safe as safe can be.  The clinic, for example, is not a hospital setting, meaning it has zero outside traffic and has the ability to maintain less staff for elective procedures performed.  The clinic’s staff has their morning process of washing hands, having their temperature taken (making sure it is below 100.4 degrees), spraying down shoes with Lysol, and putting on all the appropriate PPE (mask, hat, shoe covers).

“Prior to surgery, only the surgical patient will be allowed in the holding area – no family members,” says Dr. Angobaldo.  “Again, this is all for the safety of RPS staff and patients.  Before anything is done, the patient will be asked a series of standard COVID-19 questions to help determine whether or not it is in the patient’s best interest to proceed with his/her procedure at this time.  Options are always available.”

“We encourage any and all patients to give us a call if they have any further questions or concerns,” states Dr. Angobaldo.   “RPS staff is more than willing to take the appropriate time to ensure your needs are taken care of.”
