“These bills permitted me to offer financial support to workers at the beginning of the pandemic and help pay my office lease when many of the businesses we service closed their doors back in March of 2020. A couple of clients requested that we proceed with additional cleaning. Over the past year many of our clients have returned. My hope is that they hear my story and will support the Healthy Workplace Act,” states Clopton. According to a recent Honeywell survey, 68% of the global workforce does not feel completely safe working in their employers building (unless they are engaged in enhanced cleaning and sanitation.

During this time many small businesses are taking on an additional expense for cleaning and a tax credit will help them prioritize cleaning for health. Cleaning for not only COVID is important but all the other infectious diseases that are living in our workspaces. A poorly cleaned workplace could be making you sick. We are appreciative to the Senators and their staff for their help with the Healthy and Safe Workplace credit,” says Clopton.
